Beach Commissioner's Corner
Hello AVIA!!
The 2026 Summer Season is heading into the final stretch! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
- Our new playground set is now installed and operational. Big shout out to our assembly committee: Ed Whalen, Mike McLeod, Bill Fabri and Don Gallucci. Additional Kudos to Jeff Huston for disassembling and disposing of the old playground set.
- The large shed is looking its best ever. Thanks to all the members for sticking with the new organization.
- Please be sure to pick up all your Chairs, Tents and Umbrellas from the beach at the end of each day. It is important to share the space with all the members and keep it clean.
- Notification for Watercraft Identification Tags:
Kayaks and all other small watercraft must be marked with owner’s name (tape, tag, marker, other) by Columbus Day. Any boat not claimed will be removed from the rack and stored on the ground. If not claimed by next Memorial Day 2027 they will be donated.
- The Porta Toilet will be removed at the end of September.
- The Picnic Tables will be stored Columbus Day weekend.
- Please keep it safe for everyone this summer season and remember to keep the boat speed to a minimum exiting and approaching the AVIA and neighboring docks systems.
- Please remember use the Trash Bins for Beach Trash only to keep our beach area clean. Please do not use these bins for your household trash.
Thanks,
John
